    Worn out on first knife

    After sitting on this sharpener for almost 3 weeks I decided to break down and sharpen my chef's knife. A cheap Bluesim chef's knife in 420c stainless. The original angle was 17 degrees and I wanted to change that to 20 as the steel is soft. After reestablishing the edge to 20 degrees on one side I noticed the stone didn't want to cut well on the other side. Inspecting the stone I noticed the diamond coating was all but present in a majority of the stone. It's as smooth and leaves almost identical scratch patterns to the 400 stone. Worksharp estimated 200-300 sharpenings out of this stone and are refusing to replace it after a single bevel on half a chef's knife wiped it out. Absurd for a $150 sharpening system
